Here are several varied examples at various level of focal length, from "Feet away" to true Macro 400x
In the "Image" shots we've chosen solid colors on Graphics since that make it easiest to spot artifacts and sheen if present. All Ya All decide.
From approx 3' away
From 1 Foot away
From up close and personal..............those are the Pixels BTW. Such structure would make any other artifacts plainly noticeable.
Here is an edge Shot with the edge under intense light.....
Here is an extreme Macro of the surface with no projected image, under indirect suppressed flash @ 400x (5312 x3988 cropped)
And lastly, for those screamin' about sheen'n.....a "sideways Flash-on" shot with light at the far edge. Certainly a worst case example, and the low degree of sheen showing should help illustrate how little is present.
(...Black Flame / Silver Fire painted screens have similar amounts to no ill effect...)
As suggested earlier, all ya all decide............
In this first shot one can easily ascertain the depth of the Black Level enhancement
(...Note: The following shots we taken in reduced light levels, both ambient and Incandescent...)
This next photo shows the extremely small degree of attenuation of White levels as compared to the depth of the enhanced Blacks. (...Please note that NO calibration of any type has been attempted...)
Showing greatly enriched Colors.....
Enhanced Shadow detail...............
Dynamic Imagery..........
Coming next, Dark Energy Abyss vs Matte White 1.1 gain in a Totally Darkened Room Setting.
The 08-85 is about as good as a Mfg Screen can get. It was our reference standard for judgement against our own...and we surpassed it. (...something I've aspired to for quite a while using Paints....)
The BD 0.8 really isn't even in the running. So much has been posted in a negative sense that it's issues are well documented. Time to let the Old Dog pass away.......
Better for UST-PJs than most all other ALR screens? Yes. But C'mon....it absolutely Kills with a Standard Throw PJ. Lets use some common sense reasoning on the questions, OK?
Color shift?
Virtually non-existent. Or it wouldn't be offered.....period. Is it absolutely dead on Neutral? No. But the viewer would be hard pressed to guess otherwise and it will require testing to validate that so.....I'll stand by my assertion.
