D'habitude Panasonic renouvele sa ligne de projecteurs home cinéma annuellement. Pourtant, cette fois le AE4000 (sortie fin 2009) aura une vie marchande de deux ans et continuera à être le fleuron de la compagnie jusqu'au 3e trimestre (juillet-septembre). C'est là que Panasonic lancera deux successeurs 1080p et mettra fin à son option 720p.
"Notre ligne produit pour 2011 n'est pas encore fixée, a dit Taran Wiseman, chef de ventes de produits diffusseurs de chez Panasonic. Cependant, nous croyons qu'en septembre-octobre 2011 il y aura deux nouveaux projecteurs 1080p home cinema."
"Les spécifications n'ont pas encore été finalisées, mais un des deux remplacera l'AE4000, et l'autre sera un nouveau modèle. Il n'y aura pas de remplacement pour l'AX2000. Le modèle plus haut de gamme aura aussi du 3D.
Un modèle 1080p commercial est prévu pour fevrier 2012.
