A new AES convention paper demonstrates that Truextent® brand acoustic beryllium produces superior sonic performance over other diaphragm materials used in compression drivers.
The paper is based on independent research conducted by Dr. Marshall Buck of Psychotechnology Inc. and co-authored by him and engineers at Brush Wellman Electrofusion Products. The paper will be presented later this week at the 129th AES convention in San Francisco. Utilizing state-of-the-art equipment, software, and plane wave tube fixtures, this paper also contrasts the Truextent SSX™ beryllium diaphragm against JBL® aluminum and titanium diaphragms to show:
• Extended frequency response exhibited by Truextent SSX diaphragms
• Smoother high frequency response exhibited by Truextent SSX diaphragms
• Lower harmonic distortion (especially after extended use) exhibited by Truextent SSX diaphragms
Truextent products will be exhibited at the AES convention in the Brush Wellman Electrofusion Products booth 137.
